- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup bourbon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until well combined.
- In a saucepan, heat milk, cream, nutmeg, and salt over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in bourbon (if using) and vanilla extract.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Serve chilled, garnished with additional nutmeg if desired.
Cranberry Sangria

Ingredients:
- 1 bottle Sauvignon Blanc
- 1/2 cup orange Muscat
- 1/2 cup water
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 star anise
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 1 green apple, sliced
- 1 pear, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 5 kumquats, sliced
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, simmer water, lemon zest, star anise, cinnamon sticks, and cloves over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- In a large pitcher, combine Sauvignon Blanc and orange Muscat.
- Add sliced apple, pear, lemon, and kumquats to the wine mixture.
- Strain the spiced water mixture and add it to the pitcher.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Serve over ice.
Gingerbread Hot Chocolate

- 2 cups whole milk

Instructions:
- In a saucepan, combine ginger, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and 2-3 tablespoons of milk.
- Heat on medium-low, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add chocolate chips, molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and salt.
- Slowly stir in the remaining milk as the chocolate melts.
- Bring to a boil, whisking vigorously for about a minute.
- Remove from heat and strain into mugs.

Mulled Wine

Ingredients:
